 GREEN LINE EXPRESS

Green Line express is the train that runs between Karachi and Islamabad (Margalla) via Lahore daily on Main line of Pakistan Railways. It is to be considered the proud of Pakistan Railways. After the inauguration of this train, train journey in Pakistan has been completely changed.

When It was started

It was started in 2015 when  Saad Rafique was  the Railway's Minister. Initially, it was completely business class train and then in 2019 Economy class has been introduced in it. Its economy class also giving good business and always found full packed.

Unique Qualities of Green Line

1.       Most Luxurious train in Pakistan

2.      Fastest train speed Max  up to 120 KMPH

3.      AC Business Class train

4.      It started journey from Islamabad Capital city of Pakistan.

5.      It is the Most Expensive Train in Pakistan.

6.      Passenger of Green Line belong to  High & Elite class, Rich Family and well educated.

7.      Chinese Rake (Coaches) are attached in Green line.

8.      Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner was free (included in ticket) but now after Covid19 it is not being served.

9.      Well Equipped, Cleaned and maintained train

Stops

It has only  five stops en-route i.e Rawalpindi, Lahore, Khanewal,Rohri and Hyderabad.

It completes the distance of almost 1550 Kms in 24 hours.

Islamabad to Karachi is called Greenline 6 Dn while Karachi to Islamabad is called 5 Up. It has the priority over other trains when Greenline come other trains stop for it and it pass through from the station of single line cross.

AC Business Cabin

Each cabin has the capacity of 6 Persons. Where Lower, Middle and Upper Berths exist on both sides. Separate toilet is not there in AC business cabin. There are single seats in front of cabin that are not booked for passengers but can be used by cabin owner passengers.
