Rehman BaBa Express and Lalu prsad’s Formula

 

On 23^rd December, Pakistan railways has started the new train Rehman Baba Express from Peshawar to Karachi with a minimum fare i.e Rs 1350 only for single side. The said train is totally of economy class and it’s a gift for the people of provinces KPK and Punjab. Now people can travel with less time and low fare. It is an economical and affordable for the poor people of these provinces.  The steps taken by Mr. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed are pleasant and it was the need of time and public demanding more trains like this. 

 

It’s timing and route is suitable for public. More trains can be run between  Peshawar and Karachi, now a days,  people are giving preference to rail over road transportation because it’s inexpensive as well as comfortable. According to rail sources all tickets of Rehman Baba and others trains are sold out in advance. People are facing problem in getting seats and berths due to heavy rush in winter vacations.

Previous government neglected the rail transportation extremely and gave priority to road construction and bus services. Before their government, at the time of Ghulam M Balur’s reign , railways was completely ignored. That time, passengers as well as goods trains were closed down and all routes were shut down. During that time, there was no money  for purchasing fuel and paying salaries of employees.

No doubt, Saad Rafique did efforts to improve the conditions of railways and during his time railways has got the punctuality and passengers came back. All trains were running on time and there was no shortage of money. Unfortunately, Saad Rafique  did not restart the closed routes. He did not started any train during his five years government. It was bad practice  that was done by him and his team. People were crying for running of closed trains but ignored by saad rafique.

As we know,  population of Pakistan increasing at high rate and Pakistan is considered in the most densely inhabited  countries. When population is increasing, it mean that more resource are required for people. Unfortunately,   previous government did not observe it and neglected the important source of transportation. People needed more trains and new routes for traveling across the Pakistan for their daily matters and business purpose. Why our leadership did not think about the higher population and its demands??  It is very simple that when number of people increases day by day then they require more mode of transportation.

  I think, it was the fault of previous government to not starting new trains. Number of  trains should be increased according to population density.  Sheikh Rasheed is doing his job  well because more trains are needed for the comfortable traveling and to increase the cultural and business activities in the country.

Economy of Pakistan directly and indirectly depends upon successful railways. When railway will grow automatically economy of country will make progress in right direction. If railways start goods services across the Pakistan then it can be a profitable for rail department as well as business. Rail can earn more money from goods service as compare to passengers trains. Railways has many opportunities for earning. Railways has more potential if it can utilized properly for the business purpose.

Lalu prsad was the Indian railway, who put the Indian rail on right path and in his period rail became the profitable department. When he took the charge of railway, officers came with a list of employee who were surplus and they were advised to fire them but Lalu refused to do so and due to his formula, Indian railways created one lac more jobs within a year.

Similarly, Pakistan railways can increase income as well as jobs for people. When rail will be started new trains and routes, it will boost the economy of Pakistan. Business activities will increase in country, related business will make progress and growth. For new rakes material would purchased from markets which will accelerate the other industries. Due to new trains passengers will increase and sale of food items in the trains and on the enroute stations would be increase.  So business cycle will be started in Pakistan. we need only the start of such activities.
