GUJRAT Railway Station Pakistan Railways
GUJRAT Railway Station is a main Station of district GUJRAT, it is situated in the center of the city.
It is located on Karachi-Peshawar mainline ML-1. All Trains stop at this Station except Green Line and Rehman Baba Express.
GUJRAT Railway Station is facilitating the movement of passengers and goods all over the country.
Daily thousands of passengers travel from this station to all over the country. Trains run for Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar daily.
It was built in 1881 British Era. The main building of station has been renovated again with special titles. New over head bridge has been constructed recently for local residents.
It has 3 Tracks and 3 platforms but only only 2 tracks are functioning. Up loopline is closed due to the sewerage water of local population. If department takes interest it could be functional but unfortunately nobody is thinking about. Now only 2 trains can come at station at a time but if 3rd Loop line will be in working condition then 3 trains can come at Station for Cross. It would be more profitable for Pakistan Railways.
Station has waiting room, Station Master Office on main platform and a Ticket office separate to station's building. Different Tea stalls are available on main platform.
Due to market near to station trespassing is high even new over head bridge has been constructed now.
If Green Line, Rehman Baba Express, and Non Stop Trains of Rawalpindi - Lahore i.e Islamabad Express and Rawal Express has been given the stoppage it will be a great step for the people of Gujrat.
